From its humble beginnings ACCESS Capabilities has grown to become one of the most respected behavioral health counseling centers on the Big Island of Hawaii. ACCESS Capabilities is a West Hawaii based corporation that was founded in 1993 and incorporated under the laws of the State of Hawaii in 1995. The Company was established to augment the already existing behavioral health counseling services. The Company is committed to continually pursuing advanced methods to improve service delivery. It is our belief that this can best be accomplished through research, networking with other service providers, continued self-evaluation and  the development of advanced counseling and education methodologies.

Mission Statement

ACCESS Capabilities Inc., will help build recovery in the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by alcoholism, drug dependency and related diseases. This will be accomplished by providing comprehensive behavioral health counseling, training and education services that are cost effective and clinically efficient. These services shall draw on the varied community-based values, traditions and conditions.

Vision

ACCESS will lead the way as the symbol of recovery from substance-related disorders. We will advocate for prevention of alcoholism and drug dependency, and will develop innovative strategies and treatment services to combat chemical dependency.
